Fire Away!

I remember Carolyn once talking about Laura singing The Who's "Squeeze Box" at an age where she clearly had no idea what the lyrics were really about. I got my first dose of that today. While Katie was getting ready for bed, I heard her singing,
"Hit me with your best shot.
Fire away!"

Oy vey!

Comments:
Uh, doesn't hit me with your best shot just mean, you know, give it a try?

And isn't a squeezebox just an instrument?

Jeez, I am not kidding...I am just now getting that all those rock songs are a euphamism.

Once again, Google reveals all on a lyric search:

Mama's got a squeeze box
She wears on her chest
And when Daddy comes home
He never gets no rest

'Cause she's playing all night
And the music's all right
Mama's got a squeeze box
Daddy never sleeps at night

She goes in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out

She goes, squeeze me, come on and squeeze me
Come on and tease me like you do
I'm so in love with you
Mama's got a squeeze box
Daddy never sleeps at night

She goes in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out
_______________

How embarrassing. I thought it was "He goes in and out and in an out...." Maybe you're right, I was reading too much into it.
